Homeopathy is a holistic form of medicine. This means, I will look at all of ‘you’ together, as one interlinked wonderful being.

Homeopathic medicine has been around for over 200 years. It is used by millions of people around the world, and by many as their primary source of healthcare.

The practice

During a homeopathic consultation I will ask you questions about all aspects of your life.

We will discuss physical complaints, hormonal imbalances, toxicity, difficult relationships, your diet, sleep patterns, dreams, to name but a few.

I will also ask about how you feel in yourself. Are you tired, anxious, worried, depressed, or just not feeling right.

By giving me as much information as you can I am able to really individualise your case and make an informed plan of how to move forward.

The theory

Homeopathy means ‘similar suffering’.

It is based on the principle that ‘like cures like’.

Homeopathy is a holistic form of medicine that views all symptoms, physical, mental and emotional, as part of the whole picture.

Through identifying a patient’s symptoms, a specially prepared medicine, or remedy, is chosen with the aim of gently stimulating the body’s own healing mechanisms.

By prescribing a diluted dose of a substance, we can cure the same symptoms that in a larger quantity this substance would cause.

The dose that we administer homeopathically is so small that toxic side-effects are avoided.

Evidence of this principle of healing can be found as far back as Hippocrates (460-377BC).

200 years ago a German medical doctor, Samuel Hahnemann, formalised this principle into a system of medicine, and called it homeopathy.

More information on past and current research into the mechanisms of homeopathy can be found at the Homeopathy Research Institute.
